About Glynis
Glynis grew up in the Mattapan area of Boston having been raised by her grandmother. Glynis is an empath, with the capacity to feel and think critically in all facets of life. Her desire to connect with, heal, and educate her community is what led her to pursue a master's degree in organizational and industrial psychology as a change agent. Glynis has a diverse resume having garnered a variety of competencies out of pure necessity that highlight her servant style leadership capacity. She is highly tethered to workforce development efforts, organizational equity and inclusion, and finding work life balance by living an authentic life. Glynis takes pride in her capacity to weave the delicate stories of personal, professional, and community trial and tribulation through poetry, storytelling, and grant writing What truly makes her impactful is her capacity to show individuals the benefit of self-regulation, self-reflection and consistent encouragement while navigating difficult conversations and workplaces full of microaggressions, racism, and discrimination.
Glynis fashions much of her trainings, workshops and guidance around what she likes to call "The SOOL (shit out of luck) model. This means, when one reaches a significant level of depletion, discouragement, and hopelessness, actions and perseverance replaces the played out notion of luck.
